Due to the challenging circumstances presented by COVID 19, we have made the decision to delay the Pathway Process for our current Year 8 students . This means our current Year 8 students will choose their options in Year 9 in order to provide further opportunities to experience possible options subjects.
If you have any questions about the options process, please do not hesitate to contact Mike Williams, Acting Deputy Head: Curriculum, Assessment and Target Setting (Posted October 2021).
Welcome to the Year 8 Pathway Process webpage. This page has been design to be used in conjunction with your pathway booklet. Please watch the video below to find out further information about the pathway process, course combinations, our curriculum offer including our distinct transition year in which personal development and curriculum enrichment are prioritised. Please ensure that your child submits their subject choice by the 12th of February using the Google Form that has been sent to their school email address.
We are passionate about ensuring our students have as enriching of an experience as possible, and the Arts Award will contribute to the breadth and depth of the curriculum during Year 9. Focusing on developing creative and practical skills in Art, Music, Food, Technology and Modern Foreign Languages, not only is the Arts Award a fun and engaging experience, but we aim to ensure that every student in Year 9 achieves this national qualification.
