“As a teacher, you can inspire the next generation and help them to realise their ambitions. That means you can go home each day knowing you’ve made a real difference, giving all young people the chance to fulfil their potential.”

Train to teach with Pathfinder Teaching School Hub

As Lead Partner with The University of York we offer a school-centred approach to Initial Teacher Education (ITE). Our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) courses take one school year to complete and lead to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). We offer routes in both primary and secondary settings.

By training with Pathfinder Teaching School Hub (PTSH) and The University of York (UoY) you will gain a strong start to your career as a Teacher and ensure that every child goes on to receive a world class start to life.

The teaching school is based at Archbishop Holgate’s School. We have a large partnership of both primary and secondary schools in York, North Yorkshire and the East Riding. This enables us to offer a variety of placement contexts and provide a truly rounded teacher training experience.
