Historic trend of success
At GCSE, we have established a long-standing record of outstanding Progress 8 scores. Over the past five years of progress measures, our average Progress 8 score has been consistently above +0.5, placing us among the highest performers both locally and nationally. We are also proud to be ranked within the top five state schools in the North by The Sunday Times for two consecutive years.
The Progress 8 performance of our students remains excellent, consistently exceeding the national average. While it is not appropriate to make direct comparisons this year, we are extremely proud of the continued progress our students have made, and the opportunities this progress unlocks for their future success.
At Post-16, we have built an exceptional record of success, consistently placing our Sixth Form among the top 10% of Post-16 providers nationally.
Within our Sixth Form community, students have the flexibility to combine traditional A-levels with vocational qualifications, allowing them to tailor their studies to their future aspirations. Many of our students have gained acceptance into highly competitive medical, veterinary, and dentistry degree programmes, while others have secured prestigious scholarships to Oxford and Cambridge University.
